The Royal couple will be in New York City from September 8-13, to participate in the celebrations of NY400 Week, commemorating the 400th anniversary of Henry Hudson's voyage from Amsterdam to New York Harbor, and 4 centuries of enduring friendship between the Netherlands and the United States.

Besides visiting the New Island Festival on Governors Island, you can get a taste of Dutch foods at the New Amsterdam Village at Bowling Green, admire Vermeer’s famous painting ‘The Milkmaid’ at the Metropolitan Museum, celebrate Dutch design, fashion and architecture with Pioneers of Change on Governors Island and ride one of the bright orange NY400 bikes for free! A symbolic gift representing our united spirit and common future, the ‘New Amsterdam Plein and Pavilion’ designed by renowned Dutch architect Ben van Berkel, will be opened at Battery Park on September 9.
